Tribal Testing
A DNA Tribal test is a paternity, maternity or kinship test performed to determine if two or more individuals are biologically related. This test is generally conducted in order to meet a tribe's enrollment criteria.

How it works
A DNA tribal test is a paternity, maternity or kinship test performed to determine if two or more individuals are biologically related. Depending on a tribe’s membership requirements and descendency criteria, the results may potentially be accepted by a tribe in an enrollment application.
In order to conduct a paternity, maternity or kinship test, painless
cheek swab samples are collected at one of our 5000 specimen collection
sites. Appointments within the US can be made with 24 hours notice on a
nation-wide basis. Orchid Cellmark also facilitates the secure and
timely shipment of all samples to our accredited DNA testing
laboratory.

Your Test Options
DNA Maternity Test
A DNA maternity test will test the relationship between an applicant and his/her alleged mother.
DNA Paternity Test
A DNA paternity test will test the relationship between an applicant and his/her alleged father.
DNA Kinship Test
A DNA kinship test will test the relationship between two or more individuals to assess if they are biologically related.
Native Ancestry
If an individual wishes to determine if they originate from Native
American lineage, it is possible to conduct a test which will determine
individual proportions of four unique ancestries
Mitochondrial Matrilineal DNA Test
Mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is inherited maternally but is passed on to
both daughters and sons. Every child (male or female) of a particular
woman has an exact copy of his or her mother’s mitochondrial DNA.
Y-STR Patrilineal Test
DNA present on the Y chromosome is inherited only by
males from their fathers. Due to the low mutation rate of the DNA on
the Y chromosome, all males who share the same paternal lineage would
be expected to have the same Y-STR profile, going back many
generations.
