Orchid Cellmark has a proprietary computer program that will predict the chances that a certain testing scenario will generate conclusive results. This program can be used to determine the appropriate number of individuals to test in order to obtain a conclusive result. Please contact Customer Service at 1-800-DNA-TEST for more information.
Orchid Cellmark also has the capability of using specialized DNA technologies to test more complex patrilineal and matrilineal relationships if necessary. Grandparentage Test
A grandparentage test will determine if a tested individual is likely to be the grandparent of an alleged grandchild. This type of test typically takes place when the alleged father of a child is deceased or otherwise unavailable.
Full Sibship Test
A full sibship test will determine if two or more individuals are likely to have the same biological mother and father. When possible, it is important to test the DNA of any “known" parent who is alive and willing to be tested.
Half Sibship Test
A half sibship test will determine if two or more individuals are likely to share one biological parent, usually the father. It is important, when possible, to test the mothers of the tested individuals, in order to determine the maternal DNA pattern of the tested individuals.
| Grandparentage | $1000 |
| Full Sibship | $825 |
| Half Sibship | $825 |
