Forensic Lab Location

The forensic DNA testing services of Orchid Cellmark in the U.S. are concentrated in two laboratories. Our casework analysis is provided primarily by our facility in Dallas, Texas and our CODIS profiling services are provided by our facility in Nashville, Tennessee.

Orchid Cellmark - Dallas

  • Founded in 1987.
  • Began providing DNA testing to law enforcement agencies in 1989.
  • Accredited by ASCLD/LAB-International, aaBB, FQS-I, and the Texas DPS.
  • Approved to perform forensic DNA identity testing by the NYSDOH.
  • Offers standard STR analysis for forensic cases, no-suspect sexual assault case profiling services, forensic paternity testing, and family reconstruction.
  • Offers specialty services including mitochondrial DNA testing, Y-STR analysis and its proprietary Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) analysis.
  • Awarded a contract by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner's Office of New York City to help identify remains of victims of the World Trade Center using SNP technology.

Orchid Cellmark - Nashville

  • Founded in 1996.
  • Accredited by ASCLD/LAB, FQS-I, and the aaBB.
  • Became one of the first forensic laboratories in the United States to obtain the internationally recognized ISO 17025 accreditation.
  • Experienced in convicted offender testing, traditional forensic casework, no-suspect casework, and forensic paternity testing.
  • Focused on innovative automation systems which contribute to enhanced quality and improved turnaround times.
  • Offers high throughput analysis and custom data packets and reporting formats.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Dallas Fort Worth International Airport

  1. Take the North Exit out of DFW Airport and Exit right onto Interstate 635 East.
  2. In approximately 8 miles, exit right onto Interstate 35E North.
  3. In approximately 2 miles, exit right at Valwood Parkway.
  4. Head west (left) on Valwood Parkway to first traffic light, which is Diplomat Drive.
  5. Take a left turn on Diplomat. Orchid Cellmark is one block south on the left side of Diplomat Drive.

From Love Field Airport

  1. Exit Love Field Airport on Cedar Springs Rd. and turn right on Mockingbird Ln.
  2. Take Mockingbird Ln. to Interstate 35E North.
  3. Travel north approximately 8 miles to Valwood Parkway (this is two exits north of I-635).
  4. Exit right at Valwood Parkway.
  5. Head west (left) on Valwood Parkway to first traffic light, which is Diplomat Drive.
  6. Take a left turn on Diplomat. Orchid Cellmark is one block south on the left side of Diplomat Drive.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Orchid Cellmark is located just 2.6 miles South of the Nashville International Airport on Donelson Pike.
  1. Go South on Donelson Pike when leaving the Airport (or go South on Donelson Pike from I-40).
  2. Turn right into Air Park Center III after crossing the Donelson Pike/ Murfreesboro Road intersection and passing the Dell Computer Corporation campus.
  3. Follow the parking lot around the building to the right and you will find the entrance to Suite A-15 on the Northwest corner of building #1400.
