Princeton, NJ

Orchid Cellmark's Princeton facilities are located just outside of the beautiful and historic town of Princeton, New Jersey. Princeton and its surrounding towns offer an ideal setting for the work/life balance and is within about an hour's travel to New York City, Philadelphia, the mountains and the Jersey beaches. So you can see a Broadway play in New York, visit the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, go to the Pocono mountains to ski or take a casual walk along the beach. Not only does the area offer you a variety of cultural and recreational activities, but it also provides close access to many higher educational institutions, such as Princeton University, University of Pennsylvania, New York University, Rutgers University to name a few. The surrounding areas offer a variety of housing options, and the neighboring towns are known for the excellent reputation of their public schools, as well as having a large number of well-known private schools.

Dayton, OH

Known as the Birthplace of Aviation, Dayton was once home to powered flight inventors Wilbur and Orville Wright. Today the city offers great attractions and historical sites, and fantastic arts venues including The Schuster Performing Arts Center, located downtown. It includes a 2,300 seat theatre, rehearsal space, a black box theatre, and a wintergarden. A new outdoor baseball stadium was completed in April 2000 to house our Dayton Dragons, our professional minor league baseball team. Dayton also has a network of beautiful metroparks and fabulous shopping and dining.

Dayton offers affordability and accessibility along with world-class attractions, arts and culture. Dayton prides itself on big city amenities coupled with midwestern charm and hospitality.

Nashville, TN

Orchid Cellmark's facility in Nashville is located on the eastern edge of Nashville, just south of Nashville International Airport. Nashville, also known as Music City USA, is world renowned for country music, but that's just one facet of this cosmopolitan mid-Southern city. The Nashville Symphony, opera, ballet, repertory theatre and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center exist in harmony alongside the Grand Ole Opry and the lively downtown live music scene. From the Frist Center for the Visual Arts to Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, downtown Nashville caters to a variety of cultural tastes. Numerous colleges and universities, including the prestigious Vanderbilt University and medical school, have earned Nashville the appellation "the Athens of the South". Nashvillians love their sports. The NFL Tennessee Titans, NHL Nashville Predators, Nashville Sounds baseball team, Vanderbilt and the University of Tennessee all give fans plenty to cheer about. NASCAR is popular, with two area speedways featuring stock car races. For the more athletically inclined, the Music City Marathon attracts runners from all over the country. Mid Tennessee abounds with beautiful rivers and lakes, and fishing and boating areas are easily accessible. History buffs find much to explore in and around this modern city, settled in 1779 on the Bluffs of the Cumberland River by adventurous families lured by the fertile land and abundant game west of the mountains. The Hermitage, the restored plantation home of General Andrew Jackson, is a favorite with Nashville visitors and natives alike. Quaint and colorful towns within easy drives of Nashville hold unique annual festivals, like Arrington's Renaissance Festival, Bell Buckle's Moon Pie festival, and Shelbyville's annual Walking Horse Celebration. The Jack Daniels distillery in nearby Lynchburg is open for tours year round. A pleasant climate, affordable housing, lively and diverse cultural and recreational attractions, and a low cost of living make Nashville a satisfying place to live and work.

East Lansing, MI

Orchid Cellmark's facility in East Lansing is located just east of Michigan's Capital City. With a diverse economy and a small-town atmosphere, the Lansing area is one of the nation's best places to live and work. State government, education and manufacturing are the three major industries of Lansing. The region boasts some of the state's best schools. The DeWitt, East Lansing, Grand Ledge and Haslett districts historically perform well on the MEAP exam. The Mid-Michigan area is also packed with opportunities for higher learning with two Big Ten universities nearby, Michigan State University and the University of Michigan. Today there are over 450,000 people currently living within the metro Lansing area. Within two hours travel time you can reach the shores of two of Michigan's Great Lakes – Lake Michigan to the west and Lake Huron to the east, and many inland lakes and state parks to the north. The Lansing area offers a variety of cultural and recreational activities. The university attracts dozens of Broadway shows, concerts and farming shows to the Wharton, Kellogg and Breslin centers and the MSU Pavilion. The area also offers many local live theaters and art galleries along with the nationally recognized Impression 5 Science Center, the Michigan Historical Museum, and Abrams Planetarium on the campus of Michigan State University. For the sports enthusiasts the area has 38 golf courses, the Lansing Lugnuts baseball team (minor league team for the Chicago Cubs), and championship basketball and hockey teams at Michigan State University. Detroit, which is 80 miles to the east, is home to four professional sports teams, the Lions, Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers.
