This helps assure that testing quality claims made on the internet are true and that testing is being performed by qualified scientists using validated scientific practices. Other paternity labs may lack this accreditation. Conducting tests in Orchid Cellmark-owned facilities further ensures accuracy and reliability. We do not cut cost corners by sending specimens to an outside laboratory.
Orchid Cellmark's internal quality controls go above and beyond the requirements set by the aaBB. This includes multiple independent technical reviews of laboratory data that is then reviewed by PhD Laboratory Directors or Associate Directors before results are sent to the clients. Two independent DNA isolations are also performed for each case, ensuring the accuracy of either 99.99% inclusion or 0% probability of the man tested being the biological father.
